ABOUT LAKESIDE RECREATION RESORT
Lakeside Recreation Resort is a new 63-key lakeside resort situated on a 32-hectare property along the scenic shores of Lake Mugesera in Ngoma District, Rwanda.
Strategically positioned between Kigali and Akagera National Park, the resort aims to become a premier leisure and hospitality destination, contributing to Rwanda's tourism and hospitality development ambitions under Vision 2050.
As the resort prepares to open, Lakeside Recreation Resort is recruiting talented, experienced, and service-oriented professionals to join its opening team and help establish high standards in guest experience, operational excellence, and hospitality services.
AVAILABLE POSITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
1. Resort General Manager
Minimum requirements:
At least 10 years of experience in hotel or resort management.
At least 3 years of experience as a General Manager or Resident Manager.
Previous hotel or resort opening experience is an added advantage.
2. Operations Manager
Minimum requirements:
At least 7 years of experience in hotel operations.
Experience managing hotel departments and coordinating daily operations.
Ability to maintain consistent operational standards and ensure excellent guest service.
3. Executive Chef
Minimum requirements:
At least 10 years of experience in professional kitchens.
At least 3 years of experience at Head Chef level.
A recognised culinary qualification.
Ability to manage menus, kitchen teams, food costs, and food safety standards.
4. Restaurant Manager
Minimum requirements:
At least 5 years of experience in restaurant management within a hotel or resort.
Ability to manage restaurant and bar operations, staff, inventory, service quality, and financial performance.
5. Front Desk Supervisor / Duty Manager
Minimum requirements:
At least 5 years of front-office experience.
Previous supervisory experience.
Proficiency in property management systems.
Strong guest-relations and problem-solving skills.
6. Reservations Officer
Minimum requirements:
At least 3 years of experience in reservations or front-office operations.
Ability to manage bookings, reservation systems, and booking-channel enquiries.
7. Executive Housekeeper
Minimum requirements:
At least 5 years of experience in housekeeping.
Previous supervisory experience.
Ability to oversee room cleanliness, public areas, laundry, linen management, and housekeeping standards.
8. Chief Accountant
Minimum requirements:
A recognised accounting qualification.
At least 7 years of accounting experience.
Previous hotel accounting experience.
Ability to oversee financial records, cash management, payroll, EBM compliance, and monthly accounts.
9. F&B Controller
Minimum requirements:
At least 5 years of experience in food and beverage cost control within a hotel.
Ability to manage stock control, food costing, recipes, portion control, inventory counts, and variance reporting.
10. HR & Admin Officer
Minimum requirements:
At least 5 years of experience in human resources.
Ability to manage recruitment, employment contracts, personnel records, payroll inputs, staff welfare, and training documentation.
11. Sales and Marketing Executive
Minimum requirements:
At least 3 years of experience in hotel sales or reservations.
Ability to develop business opportunities and manage corporate accounts, retreats, conferences, weddings, travel trade, and seasonal promotions.
